Are the Republicans in Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, and others inadvertently creating the Democratic version of the Tea Party?
It was just a few years ago that some minor protests turned into the major and rather irrational Tea Party. If these protests continue to go I think we very well might see a Labor Party or some name much more creative. So what does this mean?
Well first let’s look at the Tea Party today. After the election the Tea Party has faded in relevance and now is barely mentioned. The Tea Party caucus in Congress is laughably small with 4 in the Senate and 52 in Congress as of today (Wikipedia) and you are actually seeing most politicians start to distance themselves from the Tea Party.
So knowing that the Tea Party has faded to a certain degree we can look ahead and say it is a safe bet that after the election in 2 years any “Labor Party” would also start to fade. But in the mean time what can a “Labor Party” accomplish?
But will a “Labor Party” be a good thing. Yes, in that it will show that there is a significant block of the United States that disagree with the Tea Party. No, because it will further heat political rhetoric and continue us down this path of not working together.
Work has sucked so much lately that I have avoided anything with computers not related to work. At the end of the day I have just wanted to walk away and be done with it. Fortunately, I recently started doing a little bit of fun stuff at work that has gotten me back into managing all of my websites.
So, my life has not changed much since the last time I posted. Still single, still working too much, and still boycotting several companies. I am thinking about trying my hand at online dating. I have found I am just too quiet and shy to meet other guys any other way. I never want to go somewhere alone because I will just stand in a corner and be quiet. We will see how it goes.
