Lessons Learned

I am currently undecided on what I think about the latest news on DADT. On the one hand I think, great DADT is going to be repealed. On the other, I ask why do we have to wait for some study. I do not care what people in the military think, the military is a breeding ground of intolerance. So while I make up my mind on DADT I thought I would share a few lessons I learned in the last couple days.

1) Riding my bicycle in hail is not fun.
2) Surprisingly, quarter inch hail does not hurt.
3) Cyclists measure their speed in Kilometers per hours instead of miles per hour because when they are having a bad day it makes them feel like they are going faster.
4) President Obama is a politician through and through and will try everything possible not to follow through on campaign promises.
5) John McCain is 100 times worse than President Obama.

Hey, I’m not a regular viewer of this blog, but I think that it’s important to talk about other things on this site than just the fact that you’re gay/ your gay experiences. There’s a lot of confusion about the gay community and portraying yourself as a one-dimensional character will not do anything to promote tolerance and understanding about gays. If anything, it will make it seem as though that is all there is to you, which I am sure there isn’t. I’m straight, and my life revolves as much around my sexuality as I’m sure yours does, meaning not all that much in the long run. I sincerely hope you take this into consideration, and write about topics other than homosexuality that affect you as a person, not just as a gay person. Show yourself as an individual.

P.S. My life is G (good/great) was once the antithesis of FML. I think it no longer exists because people are douchebags and would rather hear about suffering than happiness. I actually ran across this blog trying to find that site as well.
