My Gay Life

Computers – I am a computer geek and have been one since the third grade. If it is the latest and greatest in computers chances are I want it, even though I probably do not have it.

The problem with being a blogger is you can never tell when you are going to be in the mood to write. This means keeping your readers happy by posting on a consistent schedule is difficult. You have some days where you feel like writing 3-4 posts, while others you cannot bring up the motivation to write.

Usually, when I get in these moods I will write a few posts that are not time sensitive and I can post during one of my writing funks. Today, what I want to write about, is time sensitive and needs posted now.

I am going to be in my hometown this weekend, and while there I will see several of my friends. Right now I figure there is a 50% chance that I am going to be coming out to some of the friends I see this weekend.

Right now, I envision a conversation somewhat like:

Do you have a girlfriend yet?

No, nor do I have a boyfriend. I am gay.

That will probably be followed by some stunned silence, then I hope some discussion. I won’t be too terribly disappointed if there is no discussion as I understand it will take time to get used to, but I hope they ask the questions they need to ask when I say this.

If this causes them to completely ignore me and not be friends anymore, then I guess they were not real friends anyway. If they are OK with it, then I will feel a lot happier and freer when I am around them. I think this will be a huge step in my life and to me being a happier person.

Boring – Overall, I think I lead a pretty boring ordinary life. Apparently, you disagree or you would not be reading my site, but I think someone who eats, works, sleeps, and repeats leads a pretty boring life. I guess that means most of us lead pretty boring lifes.
