Some of my more frequent readers might remember I said I was going to go out to a Gay Bar last weekend. Well I chickened out and realized I really did not have the spare cash sitting around. Well I then promised I was going to go out this weekend, and I really was going to go out last night. But then I got sick and started puking. I figured going out to a bar in those conditions was probably not the best idea.
Therefore, what I was going to post here today, I do not have. Sorry. Check back Wednesday, as I promise I have something for you then.
I was reading through some other blogs today, and found one that had one of the truest and best put statement about being gay.
Being gay doesn’t define my life it’s just what I am. Here is my space on the web to post favorite links, rants, rave.. whatever really comes to mind. I’m gay but I dont wear a flag (or a skirt for that matter), I just happen to have an affinity for men.

This really hit a chord with me as it is entirely true. Being gay does not define me, nor do I believe it defines most people. Yes, there are those who flaunt it, but even they are not defined by being gay, they choose to define themselves that way. Gay is a way of life, gay is not a personality. Do not let being gay prevent you from being happy. Respect yourself, be comfortable with yourself and enjoy life. Once you respect yourself, others will respect you.
I am still learning to live by my “preachings” but every day as I work to become more comfortable with myself I also become happier.
